UP Govt Tables 2018-19 Budget

This Friday, Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government tabled the budget for FY19 with a price tag of Rs. 4.28 lakh crores, which is 11.4% higher than last year’s.
The budget was presented by state finance minister Rajesh Agarwal and largely focused on infrastructure.
Under the budget, Rs. 28,394 crores were set aside for construction and maintenance of roads and bridges, Rs. 29,883 crore for various energy sector schemes, and Rs. 14,342 for new schemes.
A large chunk of the budget was also allocated for the education department. Exactly Rs. 18,167 crores were set aside for the Sarv Siksha Abhiyan.
