GST Regime Will Stabilize Within 18 Months: Niti Aayog

Niti Aayog Vice Chairman Rajiv Kumar, who was addressing the Southern Regional Conference of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India this Friday, said that the Goods and Services Tax regime will stabilize in the next 18 months.
Kumar said that they should be given some time for the new regime to settle down, during which their (CAs) role will be of high importance. He added that unfortunately, some of them are trying to scare the investors instead of helping them.
Kumar said that without the cooperation from the CAs, India won’t be able to eliminate dualism.
