GST Revenue Collection Jumps by Rs. 7,000 cr in December

Serving as a shot in the arm for the government especially with the Union Budget date nearing, the revenue collection during December clocked at Rs. 86,703 crores, up by about 6,000 crores from November during which the collection stood at Rs. 80,808 crores.
Industry stakeholders and analysts believe that the improvement in the GST collection could be a sign that the economy is becoming stable once again. It’s worth noting that since September, the collection was declining at a steady rate, which got the ministry worried.
