GST Revenue Hits Rs. 50,000 cr mark as 20 lakh Businesses Make Deposits

Thanks to the 20 lakh assessees who have filed interim tax returns on the GSTN portal so far, the government has collected a total Goods and Services Tax revenue of Rs. 50,000 crore. What’s more, there are still 28 lakh assessees who are yet to file the returns although they have filled the required entries in their respective GSTN accounts.
Out of the Rs. 50,000 crore collected so far, Rs. 20,000 crore is contributed by Integrated GST (IGST), Rs. 25,000 by SGST and CGST, and the remaining Rs. 5,000 crore by cess.
