HDFC Bank Changes Norms for Premium Accounts

Private sector HDFC Bank has changed the requirements for the premium accounts as per which they need to maintain a minimum account balance of Rs. 1 lakh per month instead of per quarter.

As a part of HDFC’s “Classic” banking programme, the customers would need to follow the new requirements from December 9. Mailers regarding these have already been sent to the customers.

The lender, however, hasn’t made it clear what the charges would be for the non-maintenance of the minimum account balance.
