HDFC to Raise Rs. 2,000 Crore Via Bonds

Private sector lender HDFC plans to raise Rs. 2,000 crores by issuing bonds on private placement basis to aid its long-term capital.

In a recent regulatory filing, HDFC said that the objective of the bonds issuance is to augment the long-term resources of the bank. The funds raised through the same will be used for financing and refinancing of the housing finance business requirements of the Corporation.

HDFC will issue the bonds today and close the same by the end of the day as well.
