Home-Buyers Received ₹12,000 cr Worth of Subsidy, Says Housing Ministry

The Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry said that it’s disbursed subsidy of more than ₹ 12,000 crores to the buyers till the end of March this year under the Credit-Linked Subsidy Scheme.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) in June 2015 to achieve the goal of providing affordable housing to all the people by 2022. A Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) was also launched to provide an interest subsidy of up to ₹ 2.67 lakh to the home buyers.
