ICICI Bank Launches Online PPF Account Opening Service

Private sector ICICI bank said that it’s unveiled a new digital service for its customers that will allow them to open PPF accounts online, thereby putting an end to the hassle of paperwork and other formalities.
The lender, in a recent statement said that with the new facility, the customers won’t need to visit their bank branch in person or provide physical copies of the required documents in order to open their PPF accounts.
The bank also said it’s the first bank to offer a completely digital PPF account opening service in India.
The digital facility is available 24/7. Interested customers can open their PPF accounts with their mobile banking or internet banking account.
