Income Inequality to Grow Further, as Jobs Stay Scarce

According to a new report, as the government proves to be incapable of creating new jobs, income inequality will rise even further.

Ambit Capital’s report says that there is a high risk of social tension as the state of jobs in the country has worsened in the past few years along with the growing income inequality. According to the findings, the lower 50% of India’s population accounts for merely 11% of the national income, while the top 10% along makes up for 29% of the same.
