India Beats China on Retail Development Index 2017

As an indication of being a more preferred country for doing retail business by the international brands, India has secured a better position than China on the Retail Development Index in 2017.

According to the India Retail Market View Report, the net investment in the retail market grew up to $200 million as numerous global brands entered India in 2017. Plus, global brands already doing retail business in the country have expanded their operations further as well.

Some of the new brands that opened their first store in the country include Pandora, Scotch & Soda, Kate Spade, etc.
