India Collects $30 Billion from Foreign Investors in 2017

It would seem that the foreign investors are finding India a prime market as the India’ collection from them in 2017 stood at $30 million (about 2 lakh crores). Out of this, about $8 billion was in equities alone, which is more than twice the amount collected in the last 2 years combined.

India is becoming one of the most popular destinations for the Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs), as they invested RS. 55,000 crores in equities this year. In 2016, their contribution stood at Rs. 20,500 crores, and in 2015 just 17,800 crores.
