India Picked as World’s 52nd Most Innovative Country in Global Innovation Index

According to the Global Innovation Index (GII) that was launched this Wednesday, India is the world’s 52nd most innovative country. This marks an improvement of 5 ranks as the nation was placed on the 57th position in 2018. In 2015, the country stood at 81st position.
GII which is based on 126 global economies is compiled by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), INSEAD, and Cornell University. It was launched for the first time with aid from the Confederation of Indian Industry.
