India Post Payments Bank to Start Launching Branches from May

Postal secretary Ananta Narayan Nanda said that with an initial investment of Rs. 1,450 crores, the India Post Payment Bank aims at setting up its branches across the country from May this year onwards.
Nanda said that by April the systems of the payments bank will be ready, after which they can start rolling out the branches between May and September. He also said that there will be 650 such branches that will offer back-end support to all the existing 1.55 lakh post office branches serving as access points.
