Indian Banks at Highest Risk Amid Other South-Asian Banks

As per a recent Moody’s poll, Indian banks face the highest level of risk in the South and South-East Asia as they continue to lack enough loan provisioning and are under-capitalised. It also said despite the fact that these banks are unable to raise capital due to equity markets inaccessibility, the government refuses to inject more capital nonetheless.

A few days back, Moody’s affirmed the ratings of several Indian banks and revised a few from positive from negative as well while suggesting that the government’s support is gradually declining.
