Indian Companies Forced to Hire Local Professionals in Light of H1-B Visa Restrictions
With the US imposing major restrictions on the H1-B visas, IT companies based in India are compelled to hire more local candidates. In FY18, tech giant Infosys saw around 2,122 visas getting denied by the US government. Similarly, as many as 1,896 visa applications were rejected for TCS during the same period.  These details were provided in a Care Rating report which also said that the US policies have affected the cost structures for the Indian IT companies.
