Indian Oil Corp Joins Hands with PhonePe to Promote Digital Economy

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and PhonePe have entered into a one-of-a-kind agreement under which the digital payments company will support digital payments through the Point of Sale (PoS) terminals at the IOCL outlets across the nation.
PhonePe head of business Pradeep Dodle said that the company is set to meet its target of installing 1 million PoS devices in 50 cities across India in 2018.
The PoS terminals at IOCL outlets will allow the customers to pay with credit/debit cards, UPI, and digital wallets like PhonePe, Freecharge, etc. for their fuel purchases.
