Industrialist Adi Godrej Certain, GST will Promote GDP Growth in Six Months

While the prominent industrialist Adi Godrej acknowledged that there are certain problems in the new Goods and Services Tax regime, he said that it will help in increasing the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the next 6 months nonetheless.
Godrej, who was present at the CII-India @75 event said it’s unrealistic to expect a single rate or two in a country where people have varying levels of incomes. He further added that the GST rates have been set after a lot of careful thinking and for many consumption items the taxes have been reduced.
