Karnataka Bank Celebrates Rs. 1 Lakh cr Lifetime Turnover Achievement

Private sector Karnataka Bank, which is also one of the oldest Indian banks and just seven years short of completing a century, recently hit a new milestone of generating Rs. 1 lakh crores in business since the day it became operational which was in 1924.
Karnataka Bank chief executive officer and managing director M S Mahabaleshwara said the bank which started with a modest seed capital of Rs. 11,580 crores has achieved several milestones in the journey and the Rs. one lakh crore business is a “historic one”.
The lender has already started with the ‘KBL VIKAAS’ movement that will help it grow further and aims at bringing a minimum of 1% of Indian population under its wing by 2020.
