Lucknow to Issue Rs. 100 cr Bonds for Infra Projects

In a bid to fund the city’s multi-storied housing project, Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) has decided to issue municipal bonds worth Rs. 100 crores. If this idea actually materializes, it would make LMC the first municipality in the entire state to accomplish such a feat.
Lately, the Uttar Pradesh government is encouraging the urban centers to arrange for the funds required for the development projects. The state also has a total of 10 cities, the largest among all states, under the Smart City Mission (SCM).
