Manmohan Singh Gives Tips to PM Narendra Modi on How to Rebuild the Economy

On the anniversary of BJP’s demonetization day, former prime minister and noted economist Manmohan Singh came up with a variety of tips for Narendra Modi on how to get the Indian economy right.
Singh, who was speaking to BloombergQuint.com, a reputed news website, asked PM Modi to try making policy solutions in a bid to rebuild the economy. He said that demonetization is a coercive step that’s ineffective towards building a less-cash economy. He also said it’s unclear whether a cashless economy will help SMEs who are the backbone of India’s economy.
