Marriage Can Make your EPF, EPS Nomination Invalid

According to the rules of the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) Scheme, 1952, when you get married, then any nomination made by you for your EPS and EPF accounts automatically becomes invalid. It says that only defined family members can be nominated in an EPF account.

The EPF Act dictates that only defined family members can be  nominated in an EPF account. In the case of a male member, “family” means their wife, children, dependent children, and their deceased son’s children and widow. In case, of a female member, “family means” their husband, children, dependent parents, their dependent parents and their deceased son’s children and widow.

Michel’s comments were received with love and admiration by South African fans and it’s likely that the platform users will grow at a faster pace now.
