MasterCard, Visa May be Taxed on Indian Income
Payment giants American Express, MasterCard, and Visa may now have to pay around 15% tax on their Indian income as they have set up local servers as per RBI’s directives. Experts say that since these companies have moved their servers to India, they will be considered to be having a permanent establishment, thereby attracting domestic taxes.
