You May Soon Get to Order Diesel Online

In light of the booming e-commerce industry in the country, oil marketing companies viz. BPCL, Indian Oil, and HPCL are planning to start online sale of diesel particularly for the commercial establishments and customers based in the rural areas.
Currently, the companies are waiting for a green signal from the Petroleum and Explosive Safety Organisation (PESO) before they start the service akin to the online booking and sale of LPG cylinders.
BPCL executive director, Arun Kumar Singh said that clearance is expected by the end of next month. If it’s approved, the service could be started by December-end itself.
