Microsoft confirmed it is in talks with Chinese corporation ByteDance to gather the US arm of its famous video app TikTok and has discussed with President Donald Trump his issues approximately security and censorship surrounding such an acquisition.

In a declaration, Microsoft stated Microsoft and ByteDance have furnished observe of their reason to explore a deal resulting in Microsoft proudly owning and running the TikTok service inside the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Trump stated on Friday that he would quickly ban TikTok in the United States. Trump and CEO Satya Nadella have spoken, the agency said, and Microsoft turned into prepared to retain exploring the acquisition of TikTok’s US operations after their verbal exchange.
