Microsoft introduces new reading tool for students
Microsoft has devised a new tool in the Microsoft Teams platform pointed toward further improving student reading comprehension while simultaneously assisting educators with better support student progress. New features are built into Teams assignments. 
 
The new Reading Progress tool works with all platforms including desktop, Mac, web, iOS, and Android. 
 
Create a customized segment, Students will profit from the educator’s ability to upload single or multiple assignments that are available and can be modified to the understanding level and progress of a particular student. Students can likewise read at their own speed and in a comfortable environment, eliminating the stigma, stress, and distractions. 
 
Read, record, review, and repeat, Teams’ immersive reading technology allows students to change page settings, for example, organization and text dimension to change their reading progress based on their preferences. From that point, students can record the reading either by voice or video. Once submitted, educators can review the recorded assignments and give input whenever it might suit them. 
 
Unlock insights and track progress, the app streamlines out the time-consuming conversation by coordinating with Teams’ Education Insights dashboard. Teachers can use the auto-detection feature to distinguish mistakes like pronunciation errors, repetitions, phrases, and omissions, which can be used to customize the teaching of every student.
