Modicare Set to be Launched on I-day Despite Miffed Insurance Industry

The ambitious national healthcare scheme Ayushman Bharat is set to be launched on August 15 and 28 states have already come on board. However, 8 states and insurance companies are refusing to join the scheme which the government claims will offer healthcare cover plan worth Rs. 5 lakh to 10 crore financially weak families in the country.
Ayushman Bharat CEO Indu Bhushan said that 3-level IT backbone for the scheme is already in place and it shall be completely ready in just a few days.
