National Policy on Software Products Launched, To Create 3.5 mn Jobs

This Thursday, the Union Cabinet approved a national policy on software products that aims at making the country a software product center by 2025. It also passed an ordinance that will allow for voluntary use of Aadhar number under the KYC (Know Your Customer) system.
The policy has created a framework for the promotion of over 10,000 startups through that will generate 3.5 million jobs on the back of a ₹1,500 crores budget.
