NITI Aayog Gives Nod to Mega Employment Zones

India’s think tank NITI Aayog has approved the development of 14 mega employment zones across the country. The ₹1 lakh crores project proposed by the Shipping Ministry now awaits another nod from the Cabinet. If all goes well, the government will invite bids from the manufacturers for setting up bases in the mega employment zones.
The ambitious project is touted to be capable of providing employment to as many as 10 million youngsters in India.
