No Changes in Union Budget 2018 Presentation Date, Govt. Sticks to February 1

Continuing the practice that was started in 2016, finance minister Arun Jaitley said that they will present the Union Budget 2018, on February 1 only.

This would be the last budget of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government until the Lok Sabha election of 2019.

A government official said that the winter session of the Parliament will be cut short due to the assembly elections in Gujrat, but “there is no questioning of preponing the budget”.
