Odisha Looks to Set up Real-Time Pollution Monitoring Stations in Select Areas
The Odisha government has proposed to establish monitoring stations across the state in mineral-bearing areas to monitor environment quality in real-time. Around eight such areas have been identified by the State Board Pollution Control Board (SPCB) where online continuous river water quality monitoring stations (CRWQMS) and continuous ambient air quality monitoring stations (CAAQMS) can be set up along with real-time data transmission stations. A proposal regarding the same has been submitted to the Odisha Mineral Bearing Area Development Corporation (OMBADC)
