Oriental Bank of Commerce Increases FCNR Accounts Interest Rates

Public Sector Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) said it has increased the interest rates on the foreign currency non-resident (FCNR) deposits. The new rates are effective from January 4, 2018.
The new rate for deposits of:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years is 3.06% from the current 2.78%
  • 2 years to less than 3 years is 3.35% from the current 2.85%
  • 4 years to less than 5 years is 3.40% from the current 2.95%
  • Up to 5 years is 3.45% from the current 3%

The lender said that the revised rates are one of the best compared to other banks.
