PAN-Aadhaar Linking Deadline Extended by Six Months

This Sunday, the government extended the deadline for the linking of PAN with Aadhaar by six months. As a result, the people have until September 30 to link their accounts for safe and easy filing of income tax returns.
The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) said that the “cut-off date for intimating the Aadhaar number and linking PAN with Aadhaar is September 30, 2019”. However, it said that the taxpayers will have to provide their Aadhaar when filing their income tax returns from today.
