Patent for “Electric Vehicle Platform” Filed by Facebook

According to a news report, Facebook has ventured into the electric vehicles space. It recently filed a patent for an EV platform which it has called “self-balancing robotic motorcycle”. Even though the social media giant hasn’t revealed a lot about the venture, the images that are being released indicate that the product is more likely to be a platform rather than a standalone motorcycle.
An electric drivetrain has been featured on Facebook’s upcoming platform which shows that the bike has two-wheel-steer and two-wheel-drive systems. The wheels are engineered to allow 360-degree turns. It’s also said to support self-balancing features.
