PNB Hits a Turnover Milestone of 11 lakh cr

India’s second largest public sector lender Punjab National Bank (PNB) said its total turnover to date since inception has crossed Rs. 11 lakh crores- a new feather in its cap.

The 123-year old national bank said that moving on, it will primarily focus on profit. It also said that under the rationalization plan discussed with the government it’s monitoring the performance of its branches to decide their fate.
Currently, PNB’s capital adequacy ratio is resting above 9% against the requirement of 8%.
