Power Banks Sector has the Potential to be 180 bn INR Industry, Could Create 80,000 Jobs by 2025

The India Cellular and Electronics Association (ICEA) said that the power bank sector can grow 900% by 2025 to become a 180 billion INR industry. If that happens, then it can also generate employment for around 80,000 individuals.
ICEA Chairman Pankaj Mohindroo said that with the right policy, power banks can become a 180 billion-INR industry by 2025 and help exports touch 58 billion INR. The Association, in that regard has proposed to bring power banks under phased manufacturing which can impose customs duty on imported power banks.
