Private equity investors get bullish on crypto projects
Venture Capital (VC) is taking major action on crypto in 2022.

Scared of being left in the digital dust, private equity investors are stampeding toward crypto projects blockchain-based applications, and platforms fuelled by cryptocurrencies that are local to the virtual economies of the metaverse and Web3.

VC investment in such projects totalled $10 billion all around the world in the first quarter of this current year, the biggest quarterly aggregate ever and over two times the level found in a similar period a year prior, as indicated by data from Pitchbook.

A stream has turned into a deluge, the entire year sums for 2019, 2020, and 2021 were $3.7 billion, $5.5 billion, and $28 billion.

“You’re seeing a ton of VC interest into a lot of conventions since they all accept, as we do, that a portion of these conventions is the framework of things to come,” said Steve Ehrlich, CEO of crypto financier firm Voyager Digital.

Such activities, which can go from crypto and NFT trades to decentralized finance applications and token issuers, are frequently known as conventions regarding the standards implanted in their computer code.
