Project Financing Must Change, Says ICICI Bank’s Chanda Kochhar

Private sector ICICI Bank’s CEO Chanda Kochhar said that the fundamentals of project financing have to change in order to get the investments back within the due period. She said that the projects must be completely tied-up before money flows to them.
Kochhar was present at the launch of a book that’s edited by Rakesh Mohan, i.e. the former deputy governor of the Reserve Bank of India, when she said a considerable amount of time will be spent on the planning before funds are allocated to the projects from now onwards.
