PSBs to Become More Profitable, Says Piyush Goyal

Finance Minister Piyush Goyal said that public sector banks (PSBs) are going to become more proactive and profitable in the near future after he held a meeting with the lenders this Monday.
During the meeting, the chiefs of PSBs raised issues regarding taking bad loans to the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and measures for boosting credit. After the meeting, Goyal said that the discussions he had with the chiefs show that the banking sector is set to become more vibrant and profitable in the days to come.
