RBI Seeks Technical Expertise to Preserve Rare Documents

In a bid to restore and preserve as many as 20,000 rare and archival documents, the central bank RBI is looking for appropriate agencies that have experience in the conservation and preservation of old library documents.
The bank said that there are about 20,000 folios that need scientific preservation treatment as they are fragile, old, delicate, and brittle.
In one of the major requirements for an agency to take up the project, RBI said that it must preserve and conserve the documents in the bank’s premises only.
