Reliance Communications Classified as NPA by United Bank

Public sector United Bank of India categorized Reliance Communications (RCom) loan account as a Non-Performing Asset (NPA) during the Q3 of the current financial year. This comes in at a time when the telecom giant is going through debt restructuring and selling its assets to lower the debt burden.

According to two senior officials, the account could come under the NPA category with other banks as well.

The net debt that currently lies with RCom is to the tune of Rs. 45,000 crores.
