Renowned Economist T N Srinivasan Passes Away

T N Srinivasan, who was known for his brilliance in the domain of economics and his questioning of traditional economic thinking passed away at 85 in Chennai this Saturday. He has made some of the most important contributions to the Indian economic system, and his suggestions on improving the investment climate in India, fiscal consolidation, etc. helped in the enacting of Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (FRBM) Act which later on opened up the FDI regime.
