RERA in Uttar Pradesh: Builders Happy, Buyers Not

The online RERA(Real Estate Regulatory Authority) registration platform that was launched by the Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday has received a mixed response. While the builders have welcomed it with open arms, home buyers aren’t particularly happy.
The RERA platform will allow the builders to get a RERA registration number easily and quickly. Previously, they had to wait 37 days for the same. Moreover, the system will be more transparent now. However, home buyers are confused. A common complaint is that the RERA website is considering the draft rules which are lopsided and not the new rules that are actually beneficial to the buyers.
