RuPay Looks to Expand Internationally

India’s domestic card RuPay is set to reach the United Arab Emirates (UAE) market by as soon as next week as the nation wants to extend its reach. It’s worth noting that the card is already available in two foreign countries which are Singapore and Bhutan.

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) launched RuPay in March 2012. Today, it competes against leaders like Visa and Mastercard.

In the UAE, around 12 large businesses will start accepting RuPay cards next week.
