Samsung May Offer Financing to Boost Smartphone Sales in India

This Thursday, an executive of Samsung Electronics said that the company may offer financing service to attract phone buyers in India. They said that the company has joined hands with a local shadow banking firm to roll out the financing product.

Samsung India’s senior vice president for mobile business, Mohandeep Singh said that consumers who have not used finance in the past can now avail the service with Samsung. He also said that the company looks to launch the product in 5,000 stores across 30 cities, and it might be available in 10,000 stores in 100 cities by the end of the calendar year.
