SBI Opens New Branch in Singapore

India’s largest lender State Bank of India recently opened its sixth branch in Singapore, thus expanding its services in one of the most open economies in the world.
The new branch is located in the Ang Mo Kio region which is well known for its real estate. However, SBI already has running branches in the industrial estate of Jurong, central business district, Marine Paradem and two in Little India precinct.
At the inauguration event of the latest SBI branch in Singapore, country-head Soma Sankara Prasad said that 80% of the customers are Chinese and the majority of the remaining are Indians.
