SBI to Teach Bankers of South East Asia

India’s largest lender State Bank of India is planning to open a new banking personnel training institute for the bank employees in India and other countries of South-East Asia.

SBI Chairman Arundhati Bhattacharya said that the action-based institute will train the employees at the mid-management level, banking regulation, and technology while focusing on capacity building and a result-oriented research.

Bhattacharya, who recently inaugurated the institute, said that a number of infrastructure projects are already tendered out and growth is expected within a quarter or two.
