SEBI decided to make use of tech tools to facilitate Online KYC

The Security exchange board of India has decided to make the use of tech tools for Online KYC to keep the business running during the complete lockdown in the nation. The decision is taken after various feedbacks from the marketers.

In order to enable the Online KYC, the process can be done through online based KYC app where verification can be done online and submission of documents can be done through e-signature.

Details of the customers will be taken as a photo or a scan document and verification will also by sending OTP. According to SEBI video call is not necessary if the verification is done using Aadhaar authentication.
