Only Select Banks to Get Capital Support from Government in FY18

Not all, but select few banks that have performed well this financial year will receive capital infusion from the centre, sources said.
As the government prepares for the issuance of recapitalization bonds for the first tranche, only those banks that have fulfilled certain parameters will get the money, a senior official said.
They also said that whether a bank receives capital infusion or not is dependent on its performance, the reforms brought, and its future roadmap.
