Softbank May Invest in Uber, Although Nothing Final Yet

This Tuesday, Japan’s SoftBank Group Corp said that it’s pondering over investing in carpooling giant Uber, although there is no final agreement at this point in time.

In a recent statement, Softbank said that if the share price is not right and the minimum number of shares offered are unsatisfactory, then it may not invest.

Earlier this week, Uber had said that a deal with Dragoneer Investment group and the Softbank Group Corp is underway.

According to two persons who know about the developments in the deal, the investment amount could be as much as $10 billion.
