Softbank Takes a ‘Significant Minority Stake’ in Software Firm OSIsoft

Softbank has recently made an investment in OSIsoft LLC, a software company that provides industrial software for the management of factories. As more and industrial companies like Siemens AG and General Electric Co are deploying software in the industrial processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency, Softbank is buying out venture capital investors Toal Capital, TCV, etc.

Although Softbank didn’t reveal the exact investment amount in OSIsoft, it did say that it’s in “high hundreds of millions”. Observing similar prudence, OSIsoft declined to give an official confirmation, although the company founder Pat Kennedy did say that they generate about $400 revenue annually.
